D'AKIL THAI FOOD
😋 FOOD REVIEW 😲
On the 9th October 2018, me and my friends decided to eat at a stall located infront of Kolej Poly-Tech Mara, Kuala Lumpur (KUPTMKL) as to complete our English group assigments for Week 3. We received the task to make food review regarding the stall or restaurants we choose. We took 3 minutes to walk to D'Akil Thai Food stall and ordered 2 dishes. We shared the food together for five persons.

TASTE AND PRICE OF FOOD
First, we ordered Kampung Fried Rice or synonym as "Nasi Goreng Kampung"
'KAMPUNG' FRIED RICE (RM 5)
After 10 minutes of waiting, our food arrived and we started to eat. Every one of us has the chance to taste D'Akil Thai Food's Kampung Fried Rice. After we ate, we share our own review regarding the taste of the fried rice. From overall review, we can conclude that the taste of fried rice served is average as the fried rice was not spicy at all and the rice was not perfectly cooked. First of all, the fried rice was not spicy at all for Asian people. Commonly, kampung fried rice was popular among Malaysian with its spicy taste as the main ingredient of the fried rice was Bird's eye chili (cili padi) but not in D'Akil Thai Food stall . Furthermore, the rice was quite hard but still can chew as it was cook with slightly incorrect measurement of water level. The price of kampung fried rice is RM5 and it is affordable for students budget. The price charged are worth it for the taste of food served.
Second, we ordered Chicken Fried Rice or synonym as "Nasi Goreng Ayam"
CHICKEN FRIED RICE (RM 6)
Chicken fried rice arrived at the same time of our kampung fried rice which is 10 minutes after order. Every one of us has the chance to taste D'Akil Thai Foods's Chicken Fried Rice. From overall review after tasting the fried rice , we can conclude that the taste of fried rice served was poor as the fried rice was tasteless, the chicken was not crispy or even crunchy and the rice was also not perfectly cooked. I'm quite sad with the taste of fried rice as it was tasteless. The rice was only cook with scrambled eggs with less salt , no sweets taste from onion, no pepper taste or even a nice smell of food. Besides that, the chicken was cold and not crispy or even crunchy at all. Last but not least, the rice was quite hard same with the previous fried rice ordered but still can chew as it was cook with slightly incorrect measurement of water level. The price of chicken fried rice is RM6 and it is not affordable for students budget. The price charged are not worth it for the taste of food served.

SERVICE
From our overall view, the service are quite good. They are always smiling to the customers and very friendly. The dishes are quite slow, me and my friends are waiting for almost 10 minutes. But they are always alert to newly arrived customers even though their store have a lot of customers from KUPTM's students and staff.
Otherwise, they do not provide a place to wash their hands. If customers wanted to wash their hands, they would have to wash their hands in the wash basin. It is not really hygiene to wash hands in a basin without changing the water frequently.
PLACE
Raining days
Circumstances that we faced
This food stall is located in front of the Kolej Poly-Tech Mara, Kuala Lumpur (KUPTMKL). This makes the stall a strategic place as it is accessible to all students and nearby residents around the area. This stall is rather easy to find due to its flashy decorations and distinctive modern vibes. The stall however can only fit a small amount of customer for dine in purposes due to its small sizes. In this area, the parking spaces are so limited as it is located on a narrow road. Cars are passing endlessly through the road in front of KUPTMKL create loud honing sound.
On top of that, the store seems to be lacking of roof for shelter when its raining. When we got our ordered food, its starts to get raining heavily. Unfortunately, they do not have enough and sufficient space for us to get into the stall as we are eating outside of the stall at the first place. All of us got wet and so did our food. But luckily, there were empty spaces inside the stall, so without any hesitation we quickly got inside to find shelter from rain. After all the struggle, we then managed to be seated inside the stall, but sadly the rain still poured at us and our food so we have to use our own umbrella and wore our sweater to prevent rain from hitting us. We then finish our food quickly, paid for the food then leave the stall.
RATING
We give 2.5 stars for this stall because their decoration is very pleasing, attractive and hipster. Besides, presentation of the food was very unique as the food is served in small crock. This shows that it is different from other stall or restaurant. The price of food are also very affordable and this place is also suitable to hang out especially for
students.
We are a bit disappointed because the stall space is too narrow that only can accommodates just for four tables inside and two table outside which causes lacking of
tables and chairs if customers are more than 25 person. In addition, if rainy days customer at the edge of the restaurant will get wet because it do not have roof
at the side.
REVIEW
We wouldn't recommend this food stall to my family and friends because the foods doesn't taste good. Everything was a mess during that food tasting day. It was raining heavily and we couldn't enjoyed the food as much as we want. We are not satisfied with almost everything. They should have prepared more for the customers to feel comfortable. The small restaurant should get expand and do some upgrades. We are not going repeat or come to this restaurant with my family and friends. The only thing that we like about this restaurant is that the price is very affordable especially for the students.
